Adam Biro, a Fairfield East fisherman has stumbled across a lost camera while fishing one of Australia's largest rivers in NSW. The Panasonic Tough Lumix FT10 has spent an entire week at the bottom of the Hawkesbury River submerged beneath 10 metres of murky water.
This camera has lived up to its' 'Tough' reputation as testing revealed the camera to still be in working order! As a result Adam, in conjunction with Panasonic is seeking to re-unite the camera with its' rightful owner. Data was able to be retrieved from the item due to its waterproof body and incredible exterior protection including the recovery of 750 images contained on the camera. Adam was quoted as saying:
“I was pretty shocked when I pulled in the line and there was a camera on the end of it. I’ve caught plenty of different things in the past – but this is pretty unusual by any stretch...”
“There are obviously a lot of memories on that camera and I’d hate to think someone could have lost them all.”
