michaels offers a complete onsite film developing service.
Professional Dip-and-dunk film processing is utilised at michaels. Unlike traditional roller transport machine processing, dip-and-dunk processing suspends the film from racks which are raised in and out of chemistry tanks. This ensures the film touches nothing, eliminating scratches, grime and other physical wear and tear evident with roller transport processing.
michaels professional onsite lab offers a complete film developing service. We are able to process Black & White, Colour Negative (C-41) and Colour Slide (E-6) film from almost every format, even the old films that you may have hidden in your drawers. We process 16mm, Minox, Disc, 110, 126, 35mm, Agfa Rapid, 120, 220, 4x5 and 8x10 films.
Your precious film is safe with us. Our highest quality service uses Dip-and-Dunk processing. This has a number of benefits compared to the traditional roller transport processors. The most significant being the film does not make any physical contact with the processor, thereby reducing the risk of scratching and other physical blemishes to your film. The entire process is closely monitored and regulated using sophisticated computer controls. In addition, we are one of the only labs in Australia which runs control strips and performs densitometry daily to ensure that our chemicals and processes are running within tight tolerances.
