Security & Access

Please Note

There will be no dedicated security personnel at the doors so we must all do our best to keep a keen eye out for any safety or security concerns throughout the day.

Swiper Access

Your swiper will provide access to our main stairwell, tea room and will allow you to open display cabinets. We’ll provide a safe space in the tea room for you to leave your personal items.

Parking

michaels do not offer parking facilities. There are 3 car parks located within 200 metres of our store. Please check parking facilities prior to the event and plan out your stay. Please note car park opening hours.

Your Gear

If you have gear to bring with you, we suggest that you temporarily park in the car spots located opposite our building on Lonsdale Street – ie. the centre parking in Lonsdale Street, bring your gear in via our staff entrance & then park your vehicle.

In-Store

We’ll endeavour to buddy most of you with a staff member to begin with so they can demonstrate how to open cabinets & the critical etiquette of stock security:

1. No more than 3 items on the counter (or being demonstrated at once)

2. It is critical to close our display cabinets when you are taking stock from the display cabinets or putting it back.

Our team will assist you with pricing & they will complete our sales documentation. If we are selling smaller items – esp. accessories less than $100, you can take/walk the product and the customer to our cashier who will transact the sale.

Bathrooms

We have male & female bathrooms located on Level 1 – next to our Lecture theatre.

There are also 2 unisex toilets in the main stairwell – between level 1 & level 2, and between level 2 and the rooftop.

We also have a disability accessible bathroom located on the upper-ground level by the lift.

Rooftop

Head upstairs for amazing city views from the michaels rooftop and check out the Super-Tele Shooting Gallery. Access the main stairwell next to the lecture theatre.
