Popular Uses

The Collins Clamp is perfect for mounting accessories to hand grips, handlebars, jib arms, cranes, Steadicam, and rigging.  You can use it to attach lights, light modifiers or filters, microphones, preview monitors, virtually anything that has a 1/4" or 3/8" male mount. The Collins Clamp is also used in the microRemote Universal Fingerwheel Controller for attaching the fingerwheel to jib arms, cranes, and third party handles.

It can also be used in combination with other Redrock accessories to create even more flexible mounting solutions.

How is it different than the microMount?

The microMount is similar, but slides on to rails and features the quick-release microSpud. The Collins Clamp is a jaw-style clamp that attaches in place and has the micro Cheeseplate with 1/4 and 3/8" taps for mounting accessories. They are used in a similar fashion, but attach differently.
