Imacon Flextight Scanner

For superior quality film scanning, we offer impressively sharp scans with our Imacon Flextight scanner. Its ability to resolve detail is far superior to that of other scanners and boasts dynamic range and accurate colour rendition. Scans are provided as 16Bit TIFF Files and saved in the Adobe RGB (1998) colour space.

Slide Scanning Services 

Some scanners are better suited for different types of film than others. If you are looking to convert your slides into digital files, michaels offers the choice of 3 scanners depending on your needs - two designed specifically for E-6/slide film and the other, a virtual drum scanner offering the highest quality scan for all film types.

For each scanner, we offer multiple levels of resolutions of our scanning services which provides flexibility in file and print size.

To have large quantities of 35mm mounted slides converted to digital files, we recommend using our Bulk Essentials or Bulk Archival scanning services.



Bulk Essentials 35mm Slide Scanning

This provides an exact reproduction of the slide.

It is an economy service that does not include colour correction, cropping to size nor infrared dust removal. Files come with a thin black border.

Recommended for print sizes up to 12x18" (45MB JPG File - TIFF available on request)

Bulk Archival Slide Scanning

This service includes colour correction, cropping to size and infrared dust removal.

All slide scanning is proudly done on site at michaels in Melbourne.


* File sizes are approximate and refer to uncompressed files. Resolutions of scans are quoted for single-frames of 35mm. Every frame is corrected for colour (C-41/E6) and density.

Scanned files can be delivered by CD, USB or email transfer. Options are available to save files in TIFF format (charges apply). Scanning 220 film is priced as two rolls of 120 film.

Index prints are included free with scan orders that are delivered on CD.
