Nikon Australia is pleased to announce the launch of the new NIKKOR AF-S DX 16-80mm f/2.8-4E ED VR, the world’s lightest 16-80mm DX-format lens and the first to employ various class-leading NIKKOR technology usually found in super telephoto lenses, including Nano Crystal Coat.

Key Features:

· The world’s lightest DX-format compatible 16-80mm focal-length range, 5x normal zoom lens, weighing approximately 480g

· Built-in VR enables sharper pictures with its capability to provide the equivalent effect of shooting at shutter speeds up to 4.0 stops faster

· Nano Crystal Coat, aspherical lens and ED lens elements ensures remarkable photography performance with less image distortion and unwanted light effects such as ghosting, lens flare and chromatic aberration

· Electromagnetic aperture mechanism, controlled via electric signals from the camera body, for precise auto-exposure control even during high-speed continuous shooting

·         Weighing just 3kg (500mm) and 3.8kg (600mm) the lenses are designed for high optical precision in a significantly lighter body
