Melbourne's Photo Show Wrap Up

May 18, 2018

To everyone who made it to michaels for Melbourne's Photo Show 12 May, thank you for coming and supporting our growing community of photographers, enthusiasts and friends. Melbourne's Photo Show wouldn't be the same without your energy and contributions.

We started the day with a long queue of eager attendees spanning half a city block, ready to receive their free $30 michaels gift voucher. Attendees of Melbourne's Photo Show had their chance to meet and talk shop with manufacturer representatives.

There were many opportunities to try out new products on a Canon or Sony photo walk, at the bird photography station or on the michaels rooftop featuring a range of super-telephoto lenses.

The Insight Lecture Series was bigger than ever with top-notch photographers bringing their best in an intimate setting. Don't worry if you missed out — some of the lectures were recorded and will be avaiable to watch online soon! Watch this space.

Come in to michaels to see all of the amazing entries from the Urban Photo Scavenger Hunt and also some great shots from the 36 Clicks guided film photo walk. Attendees were also invited on a Pro Lab tour to see where the magic (and some science) of developing analogue photography happens.

Last week's Melbourne's Photo Show was so popular that the Canon Print Hub ran out of paper, the Profoto A1 lighting demos created traffic jams and the Sony blogging workshop was booked out from the morning.

Attendees were invited to fill in a survey to enter the draw to win a $1000 gift voucher, the lucky winner will be announced next week!

Check out our Facebook page to see some of the photos from the day and tag your friends.

Just like you, we can't wait for the next show!
