Which Canon Lenses Will Work With Your Camera
For many years the major camera manufacturers were so proud that they were able to continue with the same lens mounts despite introducing new features in their cameras which would consequently require different facilities.
According to Wikipedia " The Canon FL lens mount was introduced in April 1964 with the Canon FX camera, replacing the previous Canon R lens mount. The FL mount was in turn replaced in 1971 by the Canon FD lens mount. FL lenses can also be used on FD-mount cameras. Many mirrorless interchangeable-lens cameras are able to use Canon FL lenses via an adapter."
The evolution of Canon's autofocus SLR cameras has necessitated different series of Canon lenses. It can be very confusing to determine and understand which is the correct Canon lens that is suitable for your camera.
