Exploring Event Filmmaking & Video Marketing

Dave will show examples of some of his background (how he got to where he is), his experience and work, and a lot of lessons gained from travelling around the world since February last year. Also any equipment, post production and mindset questions will be shared.

This wonderfully-shot documentary was created with the new Panasonic Lumix GH5 while Dave was on assignment in Laos.

Presenter’s Bio:

Dave Katague is a graphic designer, photographer, motion graphic animator, videographer, video editor and aspiring DOP.

He has a deep understanding in human behaviour and psychology, event filmmaking and video marketing strategy.

Dave used to shoot weddings, but saw a large opportunity to create content for businesses quickly in a much leaner way.

He progressed through filming food, hotels, corporate, and is now working in travel.

He’s been working with Uber Australia, as well as projects for Uber in 6 countries in South East Asia, and San Francisco.

Simultaneously he started a company which produces videos for 5 star luxury hotels around the world called Hotelfilms. Filming projects for this new company has been undertaken in London, Dubai, Tokyo, Sydney, New York, San Francisco, Macau, Hong Kong and Paris.
